Healthy Chocolate Tonic Smoothie

So apparently it’s #nationalchocolateday today! But here’s the deal…I don’t need an official day to remind me to enjoy the magic that is raw, health-supportive chocolate!! I choose to enjoy chocolate in its raw form most days – I love creating different, nourishing treats using simple, REAL food ingredients like the ones used in the healthy choccie tonic smoothie recipe below…


You need:

  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 medium, ripe pear
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1 handful lettuce or spinach
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch sea salt
  • TOPPINGS: shredded coconut, cacao nibs or crushed, raw nuts

You do:

  1. Blend everything until well combined. Drink, slurp, SMILE and enjoy x
