Really Roasted Chickpeas

From my ❤️ to yours, here’s a great, savoury snack you can make that’s filled with protein and great dietary fibre…

❣Drain and rinse 1 cup chickpeas
❣Place in a small bowl
❣Add 2 tablespoons coconut/olive oil
❣Add 2 teaspoons cumin powder
❣Add 2 teaspoons garlic powder
❣Add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
❣Mix to coat, then spread out on a baking tray, place in oven for 8-10 mins at 180C/350F to make them sizzle…
❣Turn oven down to 100C/200F and leave for a further 10-20 mins until they shrink and crack open – resembling the ones in my picture above
❣Remove and leave to cool before devouring in delight 👌🏻

    I love roasted chickpeas as a snack. And this recipe is particularly great (cumin + garlic + turmeric? Yes please). I am definitely needing some snacking inspiration to get me through study at the moment. Thanks for sharing. xx

      Me too Liz!! Thanks for commenting :) I find chickpeas are so easy to make and take with you wherever you go, I carry them on board with me when I fly because they’re a good source of protein to keep me away from all the junky food.
