I cover a LOT about what to feed your body to thrive, but today I want to ask you what it is you do to feed your soul? Maybe this sounds weird to you, but just think about it for a second…feeding our minds is just as important as feeding out bodies because both must be in tip top condition to help you and I live our best life while we’re here on this crazy, amazing earth.

One of the many things I like to do to feed my mind and soul is tovisit art galleries – often with my husband, but also alone during times I need to be silent. There are times when I stop to listen to how my body is functioning, usually taking time out of my day to be alone to observe the thoughts running through my mind. It’s so easy to believe you are your thoughts, but after reading and learning from some of the best in this field, I am beginning to understant my thoughts are not me – they’re simply a part of me that sometimes can work against myself – this is often referred to as the ‘ego’.

To quieten my ego and come back to my true mind, I like to walk in nature, visit an art gallery, sit in meditation with wordless music, or lay in the sun – any of these practices work so well for me when I need to just ‘be’ and I highly recommend you try one of these things too the next time you feel you need to just relax and be alone. It’s truly the best anecdote to stress also which can cloud our judgement and make us say or do things that aren’t what we’re about. The next time you need to be alone, try visiting your closest art gallery which is often free and very, very quiet! Marvel at the amazing talent that exists in this world which will make you feel uplifted, energised and happy, and take time to listen in to ensure you’re living a life that makes you smile more than it makes you frown.
